Vale heads North.

Vale heads North.

Rovers have announced that attacker Jack Vale has returned back out on loan, as he joins Scottish Premiership side, Motherwell on a loan deal.

The attacker, who links up with fellow Blue, Georgie Gent, spent the first-half of the season on loan at Lincoln City in League One, but only made 14 league appearances – with three of them being starts. Despite netting for City in an EFL Trophy victory, as well as a 3-0 win away at Cambridge United, the loan deal was terminated at the start of 2024.

Vale, who did not feature this campaign for Rovers, unlike last season where he played 22 times for Rovers in all competitions, will now look to try and regain his form at a higher level, in a more comfortable environment, given he will be linking up with a familiar face. The attacker will now be hoping to excel in Scotland and try and stake a claim in Rovers’ first-team next season, upon his return.

Speaking to Motherwell’s website, manager, Stuart Kettwell was delighted to secure an attacking signing:

“It’s great to get Jack in as he plays in an area of the pitch we have been desperately trying to recruit.”

“He has got plenty experience at Championship level for a boy his age and he is highly regarded of at Blackburn.

“Jack has found the back of the net regularly at Under 21 level in England and this loan will provide him with a platform and opportunity to do the same again in Scotland.”

The forward was equally pleased to be afforded the chance to play & highlighted the development of teammate, Gent, as a contributing factor towards the move northwards:

“I’m really happy to be here.”

“I’ve seen how well Georgie has done here and I want to try and do something similar. I want to use this loan move to try and get myself more first-team appearances at Blackburn.

“I can’t wait to meet all the fans this weekend.”

Good Luck, Jack!
