Rovers have kicked-off a potentially busy transfer deadline day with an outgoing, as Tyler Magloire departs Ewood Park to Rochdale on a season-long loan.
The 20-year old defender, who has been at the club since the age of 9, made his senior debut for the club during the backend of the 2018-19 season in a 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic, before making back-to-back starts in a 4-2 defeat away at Sheffield Wednesday.
The defender’s development in the first-team was helped by his consistent performances for then-manager Damien Johnson’s under-23s side, as the rapid defender was a key cog in the 2017-18 Premier League 2 Division 2 title, whilst he also captained the side to success in the Lancashire FA Senior Cup, with Rovers eventually lifting the trophy.
Whilst Magloire’s contract with Rovers doesn’t expire until 2022, this loan spell at Spotland in League 1, gives the 6’0” defender a chance to show both the Rochdale and Rovers faithful what he’s capable of.
