Rovers have today announced that popular winger, Harry Chapman, has extended his time at Ewood Park by signing a new one-year extension.
The ‘Starman’s original contract, which he signed in January 2019 after he moved from Middlesbrough, was set to expire at the end of June 2021, however, Tony Mowbray and his staff were clearly convinced enough to extend the winger’s time in Lancashire.
The 23-year old winger, who has dazzled Rovers fans with his quick feet and pace, particularly during the 2017-18 League One promotion campaign will now see his new contract expire in June 2022, with the chance to once again prove his worth to the staff and the fans.
After returning from an incredibly successful loan spell with League One’s Shrewsbury Town, which came in the second-half of the 2020-21 season, where Chapman notched 7 goals and 3 assists in the 23 games he played for Salop, the England under-20 World Champion will now, no doubt, be looking to build on those fine performances by kicking on at Rovers and showing the talent that all the fans know he is capable of producing.
Hopefully we get to see the best of ‘Chappy’ in the Blue and White halves during 2021-22!
