Rovers have added another friendly to their pre-season calendar, with a trip to Lincolnshire on the cards as they continue their preparation for their 2018-19 Championship, with a clash against Lincoln City.
The game, which will be sandwiched between the trips to Port Vale and Accrington Stanley, will see Rovers’ pre-season continue against a side who nearly claimed their place in League 1, after narrowly missing out in the League 2 playoff semi-final to Exeter City.
The Imps and Rovers have had close relations over the past 6 months which stemmed from Scott Wharton’s loan spell at the club as the centre-back finished the season off in Lincolnshire, whilst also playing a crucial role in Lincoln’s second-half of the season.
Tony Mowbray and his men will make the 123-mile journey to Sincil Bank on 22nd July as the Blues aim to continue their regaining of fitness around the country, prior to an expected final pre-season game, at Ewood Park.
As with the previously announced friendly games, all information regarding tickets will be available as the game draws closer.
