Following an end of season vote from the PFA, which saw fans vote for their League 1 Player of the Year, Rovers’ Bradley Dack overwhelmingly claimed the award, which saw the 24-year old’ trophy cabinet get a new addition.
With a successful debut season behind him, Dack’s performances of 18 goals and 9 assists in 42 league games, not only sent Rovers back to the Championship at the first time of asking, but also evidently left a mark on the supporters of both Rovers and fellow clubs, judging by the vote (results below).
Despite fellow Rover, Charlie Mulgrew being amongst the candidates, the Rovers section of the voters clearly felt that Dack warranted the award more, despite Mulgrew’s equally fine season.
This award adds to Dack’s tally for the 2017-18 season, which include the EFL League 1 Player of the Year Award and the Rovers Player of the Year Award.
Bradley Dack – Rovers (32%)
Jon Nolan – Shrewsbury (20%)
Jack Marriott – Peterborough (14%)
Charlie Mulgrew – Rovers (12%)
Christian Walton – Wigan (12%)
Nick Powell – Wigan (10%)
